Our annual Dojo New Year’s Eve Ball invites all dojo members (Spokane Kendo Club, Karatedo Doshinkan of Spokane and Spokane Taiko), and all family and friends.
The evening starts with dance lessons (mostly West Coast Swing, but it varies).
Dan Sinclair and Lauren Merrithew apply their expert decor skills and covert our simple training hall into an impressive dance venue for the night.
The official dress code is “Formal or Not”. In other words, there isn’t one! Some people “dress to the nines” and others wear jeans and a t-shirt, because it’s all about being relaxed and having fun.
